Nyx 330 lygte, design Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter
In housing associations there is great focus on renovations that can bring savings to the daily use of energy and other utilities. Lighting is one of many areas to look at, and, with new lamp types and modern dimming control, huge savings are within reach. One of the hits from Focus Lighting is the Nyx series, which has resultet in savings of 70 to 80 per cent in many cases. Normally the pay-back period is less than five years. An extra benefit is the characteristic design of the luminaires that contribute to creating identity and atmosphere, underlining the sense of community and preventing vandalism.

Below we would like to present Nyx and other Focus luminaires available with LED and other energy-saving lamps. Supplied with sensors and dimming control, they will be highly suitable for modern lighting facilities where safety, comfort, and sustainability are important parameters.

Pleasant light with Nyx

With the Nyx family by Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Focus Lighting offers the complete lighting solution for dwelling areas and urban space. Nyx is used by many municipalities for urban lighting, one of the reasons being that the luminaires are simple in design and require a minimum of maintenance.

The Nyx 330 lantern is suitable for columns of 3 to 5 meters and is characterised by almost no glaring even at low columns. By means of the asymmetrical reflector the light is directed and unpleasant light into the houses can be avoided. The Nyx luminaires are available with LED, CFL, or metal halide, and energy savings will be within reach with any of these lamp types.

In most cases we do a calculation on the savings obtainable, showing yearly energy savings, Co2 reduction, and the total pay-back period for the investment. Please take contact to learn more about the possibilities in your association. Calculation and advice is free.

Harmony with Nyx

Besides the lantern, the Nyx series comprises the bollard and wall lights shown below. Thus the Nyx family creates a harmoneous lighting desing in the dwelling area. All Nyx models are made of cast silumin and are available in three standard colours: black, graphite grey, and silver grey. Other colours are possible upon request - if Nyx is to form part of urban furniture or other outdoor equipment.
See examples of effect colours here.

There is more than Nyx to the Focus programme

We offer a great variety of wall and bollard lighting, contributing to safe trafic in the yard or the pathways of the dwelling area. Most wall lights are available for bollard mounting also, resulting in a coherent design in the common areas where the lighting underlines the architecture and creates atmosphere for outdoor activities.

Most of the luminaires are available with an exchangable LED module. Thus savings are within reach by substituting the old lamp type by LED.
