Nyx in the Heart of Ikast

C.F. Møller Architects have mastered the new part of the International School Ikast-Brande. "Hjertet" (the Heart) it is called, and it the first step in the project "Vision Vestergade" by the municipality of Ikast-Brande. The Heart is meant to be the new meeting place at Ikast for culture and learning. The buildings and outdoor areas are created to promote inclusive and integrative social and cultural meetings and gatherings - so the website of C.F. Møller.

 

In cooperation with the engineers Ingeniør'ne, C.F. Møller Architects have used the Nyx luminaires in the outdoor areas. The silver grey lanterns at white posts look sculptural and unconventional. Photos: Helene Høyer Mikkelsen - more photos here (pdf-file).

The Multiple Nyx can be composed in many different ways. To simplify things a little, we offer three standard solutions. At the Heart the tall 7 meter post fits the surroundings well. The conical part of the post is 5 meters, and the cylindrical top part 1.8 meter long.
